Early 1890s Hardy 4.1/4 inch Brass faced perfect with square rare line guide.
This reel is quite unique in that it has a rare coronet engraving from a royal family .
Engraved interlinking HH. possibly Her or His Highness.
Photographed with a Peter Loam modern block leather case , which is not included in the price ,if case required this can be invoiced at 220 pounds.
The reel foot is full length but has been lightly filed with a taper to one end .
The reel is one of the tightest I have had with no wobble or play in the spool , please observe in the winding plate centre cog a grease well which should be coated on all of these old Hardy reels to protect metal to metal wear .
A rare example in great user or collector condition.
