Here we have a great example of a Hardy Perfect, size 3.3/4", with line guide, made in 1935. This example has a super original leaded finish patina from use during early years.
This reel is a transitional reel from 1935 having one of the early ribbed brass feet.
This reel has the rare rotating line guide with a hint of line marking commensurate with silk line use which this reel has still on the spool .
I stripped the silk line off spool and there is no corrosion beneath this original silk line.
The line guide rotates fimly as it should and there is no wobble to the spool.
The reel has its spare pawl and spring housed internally.
the tension adjustment works perfectly and there are lots more salmon to be had on this beauty.
Engraved with previous owners initials "D.B.W."
Right hand wind.
