A rare 4¼" Hardy St George Salmon reel. Retailed by Pape of Newcastle shallow cored drum with twin ivorine handles and three screw spring drum latch, alloy foot, milled tension screw with silent winding MkII check mechanism, revolving nickel silver line guide, rear plate stamped make and model details and script engraved retailers details, light wear from normal use only, made 1921-24. Really good condition, all original, good strong check, the foot is full length at 4 inches long. The line guard spins freely. Only 1 of 100 made and probably the only one sold by Pape of Newcastle.
No cracks to the frame or any disfigurement.
